What’s special about The Woolchemist Yarns?

Low Micron Count 19.5 Merino

Not all Merino is the same – the lower the count, the softer next to the skin. Even those sensitive to wool might find a micron count of under 20 to be very comfortable.

Colour

Assigned pooling and microstriping are popular, but Roni is mostly known for her short colour change variegation and complementary semisolids in deep saturated shades.

Storytelling

As a voracious reader and general book nerd, every one of Roni’s colourways is inspired by a book, story, myth, legend, character or location.

I’m Roni (Veronika), multistitchual fibre lover, book nerd, avid baker, perimenopausal mum and the hands and heart behind The Woolchemist.

I’m Hungarian by birth, Scot by choice, and married to a gorgeous Afrikaaner. We have two totally awesome children and enjoy celebrating our mixed cultures together.
